our village at sunset

Just remembered that I took these sunset shots the other night at Jane's new place. We were up on her treetop deck catching the last bits of a beautiful day. All the places I mentioned in the last post (Dayboat, Eileen Fisher, PT) are right there, so pretty and sparkling in the fading rosy dusk. Click on the photo and see it bigger.

We moved here from Chicago 12 years ago so my husband Andy could renovate this historic eight-acre warehouse property. We lived there for the first few years- the only residents. Now, it's a thriving commercial center with offices, restaurants and showrooms, all so beautifully done. He built the taller building with all the windows on the right (with PT on it).

The second view looks down toward Manhattan. You can barely see the GW Bridge where the Palisades fade away there. From the river's edge and the park, you can see the skyline.

If you are ever in the city with a little free time, hop on the Hudson line and ride up the river for 40 minutes. Lets you off right there on the platform! Have lunch or dinner or riverside cocktails at any one of the many fantastic restaurants in town. There are a number of shops and historic sites nearby to visit as well. It's so worth the trip. Aren't we lucky to have it every day!

o, gosh, more bunnies after all

grammy goes to DB, EF, PT
