Yesterday was the first of my three fall classes at Tinsel Trading. When they asked for a workshop featuring a vintage-inspired candy container for Halloween, I kind of blanked. After a brainstorming talk with my dear friend and craft-coach, Miss Dede, I ultimately came up with this for a project model. And it definitely fit the bill. I love all the elements- recycled oatmeal carton, old snapshots, book pages, velvety leaves, turret shape, cut-out doors, windows, bats from the belfry, glitter, moss, sweetness....and the rooftop comes off to make it fillable, giftable, adorable!
But the best part was seeing all the creative versions made by these super-crafty, clever women. Nothing like the magic of this dreamy store and the happy buzz of crafters at work to inspire each one of us. So much fun- a three hour workshop turned into a five hour craft-fest with the cutest ever party favors!
It was a great pleasure meeting and working with such talented, friendly women- around a big table with all that creative energy. Thanks for inviting me, Marcia and Terri, and for including my Sweet Mountain Holiday friends too! Can't wait to come back in November...let's see- felt ornaments and decorations. Hmmmm.
