Over the weekend, Erin and I headed over to our favorite 3 story Salvation Army to stock up for fall. It was about a month ago that I was there with Maggie, loading up for her new apartment. On that September day, I found a fabulous lamp for her place and about a million other goodies. So many things, that when we hauled the bags out of the store to the car, I forgot to take the lamp. Left it on the counter by the register. Arghhhh. Even worse, it was late that Saturday night that I realized it was still there. Not sure if I would have gone back, but by Monday that was out of the question and I just chalked it up to my over-excited, over-the-top collecting ...too much...and next time, pay attention! But it was such a cool lamp.

This trip, this past Saturday, Erin and I hit the motherlode of vintage clothes for her and again, headed to the counter with way too much stuff. Vintage cowboy boots for $5, suede circle skirt, Anthropologie-style-blousey chiffon patterned tops, 60's arygyle jersey tunics, the 80's goddess skirt (above) and so much more. While I'm paying I remind Erin to make sure I don't forget anything when we go...and the checkout lady says, Yeah, your lamp is in the back. Really! Mine? For real? The one from a month ago? Yes, it is, it is there waiting for me with a big SOLD sign on it. O, joy! I was sure the very next person who spied it waiting there bought it after I left it behind. The counter lady winks at me and says, You are a very gooooood customer. You don't come every day, but when you do.....Big smile. Me, too. Okay, I love it there!  And isn't that the cutest lamp with the stem wrapped in rattan and a near perfect shade loving its new home in Maggie's place? Yes, we are all happy now. Even my new BFF at the cash register. xoC
