The auction was a huge success and I will show and tell you all about it later...omigosh...a cake went for $200! and there's more. But tomorrow is the Garden Club's Children's Holiday Workshop at the library which I co-chair with my friend Suzanne. We host 12 children (ages 6-10) at the library in the program room. The librarian reads a story themed to the holiday and then they make their own arrangements to take home. It is so much fun to see how much they enjoy selecting their materials and creating with them. Some of the children just jam the greens and decorations into the pots and then show Mom as they head for the cookie table (that was me once). Others take incredible amounts of time to consider the overall placement of each stem. Suzanne found some darling felt buckety containers at Target that will be so cute no matter what. And we have lots of sparkle! Hope to snap a picture or two.
