Virtual Summer Slow Stitching Workshop

IMG_0281.jpg

Join me for a slow-stitching adventure and LIVE virtual workshop that you can enjoy from your own home with friends near and far.

Last week would have been my summer stitching weekend here in Vermont. Covid-19 forced a change in plans. I'm inviting you to join me for a virtual stitch getaway with a Vermont summer flavor in the fabrics that evoke blueberries, zinnias and countryside tag sales. We will be making this vibrant art quilt to finish as a tote or wall hanging.

The Kit
I'll send you a one-of-a-kind kit, full of vintage and new fabrics I have collected or designed and textiles I've dyed or felted by hand here in my Vermont studio. I assemble each kit personally and include everything you need to complete the project. No need to risk a trip to the craft store or wait for an online supply order. (You will need scissors.) See below for the full list of materials.

The LIVE Workshop
We'll get together in small groups on Zoom to talk about your creation and to share it with other members. I'll show you how to modify the design for extra bonus projects to make the best use of your materials and creativity.

The Instructional Videos
You will receive exclusive instructional videos from my Vermont studio. I'll show you how I layer color values, materials, small accents and tips for stitching. Learn to kantha stitch, embellish a fabric photo, add your own keepsake bits and how to finish the piece for hanging or attaching it to the tote.

This is the perfect replacement for summer retreats and stitch gatherings. Invite friends or family to do it with you!
