big love at french general
I knew we were in for a memorable afternoon when I arrived at French General. The girl crossing the threshold in front of me was carrying her own chair with her. Kaari greeted me and explained that she was maxxed out for seating so she told a few students they could come if they brought their own chairs. It was the biggest class I ever taught - and perhaps the most fun too. Have to say, the Love Banner is a yummy class project. Especially in that beautiful store - wow, so dreamy and inspiring. I just love Kaari and all that she does. She has such an eager, open spirit and quite a gifted eye for the beauty in design, textiles, baubles and bits, all generously available for the students to use in their projects.
So many familiar faces! The students were happy, talented, chatty and busy making the project their own. When a student tweaks the design to be so uniquely hers, it always makes me happy too. They even enjoyed all the stitching!
Time for visiting and shopping too.
Lots of sharing- ideas and materials.

Shop goods and elements added into the class kits! Kaari has a fabric line with Moda. Gorgeous!

Thank you, Kaari and all the students and friends at French General. It was so, so LOVEly. Start to finish. Thanks so much for having me! xoxo
