Can't really pretend that much else has been going on here except holding my breath until that plane landed. It did. She's safely there- even called to say so.
After the airport send-off, I went into her room to drop off the stray pieces that didn't make the cut as she flew out the door. Bed made so nicely. As tidy as it's ever been. The t-shirt blanket I made for her to take to college still here, folded. All sunlight and shadow.
She'll have the time of her life and be home before we know it.
Thank heavens for this messy studio, the wool basket and a deadline.
