more easter ideas

There is lots of time still for Easter decorating and craft-making. One of my egg projects this year is to just color the eggs and dot them with a cotton swab dipped in craft paint. I like the imperfect, rustic effect and who doesn't LOVE polka dots! Took about 1 minute per egg. And 1 minute is about all I have left for eggs right now. Still hope to show you a few of my 10 minute projects. This is one of the prototypes for a fold-out centerpiece. Gotta love bunnies.

Meadeaster_cover_2In the meantime, a few eggs-traordinary options. Craft guru (and all-around very nice guy) Matthew Mead is going to be on iVillage Friday, April 6th with some Easter decorating ideas. On Easter Sunday he will also be on the Today show weekend edition. Set your DVR's! He has a new book out, Easter Eggs, and as usual, so many must-make-that-now ideas. What a master of style when it comes to fresh, simple projects! I always love what he creates and the presentation is gorgeous too.

Pink_ladybugs Late last night, I realized that I missed Jennifer Murphy on Martha. I was so bummed because I had been watching the show earlier and didn't realize she would be on at the end. Never fear, Martha has a video of the segment on her site. You can still watch Jennifer craft little pom pom bunnies with cupcake liner skirts! Unbelievably adorable and she makes them look so easy to do. There were many amazing segments for Easter crafts on Martha's show over this past few weeks. My favorite has to be Sarah Rosensweet's needle-felted baby sweaters. Yummy!

Can you see me....pulling down the bins, getting out my felt? Here comes Mother's Day! I'm so inspired!   xoC
