couch crafts

Clyonstaghandbag2

This could be a whole new category for my blog. Lately, the couch has been my too-favorite spot and since reading requires more concentration than I can muster right now, I am going through old magazines.  Way too many of those. Maggie works in the media planning field and walks in every day with a new stack. But there is no room here so it's flip, rip, toss. There are always lots of pretty patterns, icons, and images to clip out and use for a project like this one.

Make a tag or card from cardstock and like those mitten thank you notes, decorate the cardstock with clips from the magazines. To make a handbag shape, fold a piece of paper in half like you would for a valentine heart. Draw half a handbag on the fold, then cut it out and open for a pattern. Use it as a tracer for the cardstock and cut some tags out for notes or valentines to send later. Easy. Gluestick, scissors, edgers, some buttons and white glue. A ribbon scrap tied onto the handle is cute too. You got it.

Just think- only a few more weeks until AI starts up again. I'm thinking there will be lots more couch crafts to come - for sure.   xoC
